I am looking for a device that can transfer data back to a central database automatically. The shop claimed this model can do that and offered a specific version (plus $5.00) that I have ordered as a test. It arrived after a few days. The model works fine as a standalone time attendance machine and setup and connection from a local PC works quite well. When I tried to setup the online connection to the central database I faced various issues. The shop replied quickly to my questions and after providing some additional software for four! times, it seems that I should have all the software required. But for some reason it does not connect to the server (even when on the same LAN, yet alone over a WAN). When I asked the shop again on how to get the connection working, they stopped replying. Besides the actual connection, I also failed to connect to a SQL Server database that is offered as an option in the software. So the device is useless to me.

Ok, so part of the reason for the low rating is my own fault, as I haven't tested the first device enough. The device works, and does what is described. See my other review why I bought it. And only after having ordered more for all my shops did I realize that the software is not working properly. I am now required to buy separate software that costs more than the devices to have the functionality that was sold to me from the beginning.
